I live in one of the most beautiful places that you can imagine, a place that inspires me to create and dream…and photograph. I feel the need to share the beauty of this place with the world, so starting this week I am doing a new series featuring some of my favorite photos. This gives me an excuse to take the nature photography that I love and gives me something to do with them. It is nice to share with you a slice of life from this part of the world. Welcome to the first installment of Island Life: This Week in Pics!
This lovely hibiscus was photographed at the World Botanical Gardens near Umauma Falls on the Hamakua Coast of Hawaii.
I have a fondness for the beautiful hibiscus, as you might have noted. This adorable couple was photographed at Kona Joe’s Coffee Plantation outside their tasting room on the Kona coast of Hawaii.
Among the more beautiful places I have visited this week, Umauma Falls on the Hamakua Coast of the Big Island. This spectacular triple waterfall is highlighted by the extraordinarily green foliage created by ever present rains in the area.
These aren’t just regular sweet mangoes! Shot at the Ali’i Farmer’s Market in Kailua Kona.
I never get tired of seeing the turtles. These green sea turtles are resting on the black sands of Punalu’u Beach.
